No visit to Stratford is complete without doing a few things 1. Boating on the River Avon 2. Seeing a performance at the RSC and 3. Visiting the Shakespeare Houses. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust manages these houses and has preserved them for you to enjoy. The properties include Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Halls Croft, Havard House, Mary Arden’s House and Shakespeare's New Place, visits to which can be booked with Avon Boating…

At the heart of all things ‘Shakespeare’, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust hold the world’s largest Shakespeare-related museum and archives open to the public. The Shakespeare Centre Library and Archives also house the Royal Shakespeare Company’s archive and the records for the town of Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area.

The re-opening of Shakespeare's New Place was one of the highlight of 2016's commemoration of 400 year since Sheakespeare's death and marks the re-imaging of the property through a £5.25 million project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic England and through public donations. The gardens are definitely worth a look!
